Latest BMW 7-Series Features First Diamond Tweeter Speakers

Designed to rival the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, we already know that the BMW 7-Series is exceptionally luxurious. Now it has been revealed that the 7-Series features a bespoke audio system from Bowers & Wilkins that for the first time in a commercial car, features diamond dome tweeters.

The 16 speaker system utilises advanced diamond material for the tweeters to help provide the best possible treble. Additionally, the Bowers & Wilkins system has been created specifically for the 7-Series so that it works perfectly with the interior design of the luxurious German sedan.

Beyond the diamond tweeters, the audio system also includes stainless steel speaker grilles which have optimised Fibonacci patterned holes. Amongst the speakers are the three aforementioned diamond tweeters, four aluminium tweeters, seven Kevlar midrange drivers and 2 bass subwoofers. It also includes a 10-channel 1400W Class-D amplifier and comes complete with five different amplifier sound presets; Studio, Concert, On stage, Cinema and Lounge.
