Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG Coupe

A slew of new spy photos of Mercedes-Benz’s upcoming GLE63 AMG Coupe have surfaced online, allowing us to see the all-new SUV in near-production guise ahead of its debut at the Detroit Motor Show 2015 in January.

These prototypes are both AMG models, evidenced by the more aggressive front fascia, single-bar grille, sportier wheels, vented hood and quad-exit exhaust tips. Under the hood of the SUV will be AMG’s 5.5-liter twin turbocharged V8, which produces 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft in applications like the 2015 S63 AMG. There was talk of AMG’s new 4.0-liter V8 finding a place in the GLE63, but the firm has reportedly elected to stay with the 5.5.
