Ahead of the New York Auto Show 2014, Audi has officially unveiled the Audi RS7 Dynamic Edition for the U.S. market. Featuring the German marque’s exclusive personalisation program, the RS7 Dynamic Edition includes a host of visual and aerodynamic changes as well as a few performance upgrades.
Staring with the exterior changes, the Audi RS7 Dynamic Edition features a new carbon fiber front splitter, a more dramatic carbon fiber rear diffuser, 21-inch gloss black alloy wheels as well as brake calipers finished in Tornado Red. Four exterior finishes are available. These are Ibis White, Suzuka Grey metallic, Daytona Grey pearl and Phantom Black pearl. Another cool new feature of the Dynamic Edition is a carbon fiber engine cover.
In the cabin, the new RS7 Dynamic Edition includes newly finished black Valcona leather seats, a host of carbon fiber accents, Crimson Red seat belts and stitching in the same bright shade of red on the dashboard, gear shifter boot, centre and door armrests and the centre console.
Under the hood, the Audi RS7 Dynamic Edition features the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine as the regular RS7. This engine delivers an equal 560 hp and consequently can rocket the car to 100 km/h in a mere 3.7 seconds. What is different for the Dynamic Edition is that it features a new sports exhaust system.
Despite its brutal performance and power, this engine is still quite efficient thanks to the cylinder deactivation technology. When necessary, the engine disables cylinders 2,3,5 and 8. When it is all said and done, the RS7 Dynamic Edition returns an estimated MPG of 16 miles per gallon in the city, 27 on the highway and 19 combined.
The car will go on sale in the U.S. this coming summer starting at $146,045.
