Aston Martin recently entered the Mexican market through the opening of their first dealership in the country, a bold statement that shows the brand is committed to its clients and posses a strong will to have a share of the supercar sales in México.
The showroom and office are located in the exclusive Polanco zone in México City, where as many as six cars can be displayed within the luxury and glamour that the corporation have put into the infrastructure. New customers can now satisfy their most extravagant tastes through the personalization of a car with a wide array of details, something that was done exclusively online previously.
Press were invited to have a look around on the opening morning to get a glimpse of the showroom and get to know the details concerning the sales and distribution plans for 2014. GTspirit attended the clients private party and learnt a lot more about Aston Martins project in Mexico in a much more personal way, by the hand of Martin Josephi who is Brand Director for both Lamborghini and Aston Martin in México; an experienced entrepreneur who has always had the vision to accomplish successful businesses
involving supercars, as well as the ability to deal with the most extravagant and demanding clients.
The evening was also full of surprises, including the presence of Marek Reichman who personally explained the design philosophy behind the brand. Julian Jenkins (Aston Martin Americas President), Fernando Macías (Aston Martin México Commercial Director), and Iván Chávez (Aston Martin México Marketing Manager) spent the night sharing their expectations with their colleagues and clients. Many prominent businessman attended that night and it is said that sales began before the inauguration of the showroom was complete.
Models on show included a Vanquish as well as a DB9, V8 Vantage, Vantage S and Rapide S, all either in coupé or Volante guise. Some of the guests were seen arriving in Astons including Rapides and Vanquishes.
Prices were adjusted to the market and as far as we know the Vanquish is being sold for $455,000 USD while the DB9 Volante is retailing at a lower $330,000 USD but closely topped by the Rapide S with a price tag of $335,000 USD. Prices are higher than importing the cars from the US, but they cover every aspect of the process and assure the immediate delivery of the car with a purchase experience unique to the segment.
