One-Year Waiting List for Z51-Equipped 2014 Corvette Stingray

Following recent reports suggesting that the waiting list for the regular 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was six monthshs, new information has been released in regards to the Z51 Performance Package equipped C7 Corvettes.

According to GM Authority, the waiting list for the extremely popular Z51-equipped Corvette is so high that some buyers will have to wait up to a year before receiving their cars. While this is unquestionably frustrating for those buyers waiting to receive their new Corvette, it’s not all that surprising.

After all, the first round of orders for the new Corvette saw 75 per cent of owners opting for the Z51 Performance Package and for good reason. It features a three-mode electronic limited slip differential, a dry-sump oil system, larger slotted brakes, improved dampers and larger wheels.

However, Chevrolet believes that once most of the Corvette enthusiasts have received their cars, orders for the performance-oriented models will taper off.
