Audi extended its qualifying dominance after securing pole position for today’s 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas. The No.2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro of Allan McNish and Loic Duval finished first ahead of the sister No.1 car of Andre Lotterer and Marcel Fassler in the #1 Audi and 1.341s ahead of the #8 Toyota TS030 Stephane Sarrazin and Sebastien Buemi after the 25 minute session.

In the LMP2 class, the fastest time went to G Drive Racing Oreca-Nissan of Mike Conway and John Martin. The duo had lost time in the pitlane after their motor failed to start but they were able to make a strong comeback to set an average time over the four best laps of 1m54.656, 1.010 seconds ahead of the #24 Oak Racing Morgan-Nissan of Olivier Pla and Alex Brundle.

The hotly contested LM GTE-PRO went to the No.99 Aston Martin V8 Vantage while the No.81 Ferrari 458 Italia secured pole for the LM GTE-Am class.

The 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas is due to start today at 11:00 (CT) / 18:00 (CET) / 17:00 (BST) and the race will be streamed live across the world on the official website at www.fiawec.com, as well as on MotorsTV in Europe and partially live on Eurosport2 and Eurosport International.
