Not long after the 2014 BMW M4 Coupe was spied under heavy camouflage testing at the Nurburgring recently, the first official images of its brother, the brand new 2014 BMW M3 sedan have leaked online ahead of its world debut later this year.
Development of the 2014 BMW M3 sedan has been undergoing for some time now, and the brand new car is set to feature a host of new changes most predominantly with its brand new powertrain.
Unlike the outgoing 2013 BMW E92 M3 sedan and coupe, the 2014 BMW M3 will not utilise a 4.0-liter V8 engine delivering 414hp and will instead debut a brand new turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine producing around 450hp.
This same engine will then be shared with the upcoming 2014 BMW M4 coupe.
From a styling perspective, these images highlight a dramatically redesigned front end featuring an even more aggressive front bumper, redesigned front kidney grille and the updated headlights present in the current BMW 3-Series range.
Additionally, the car features a large carbon fiber splitter at the front and rolls on black wheels.
At the rear, the 2014 BMW M3 features redesigned taillights, the quad exhaust pipes we’ve grown accustom to and a brand new rear bumper and rear lip spoiler.
Stay tuned for more details about the 2014 BMW M3 in the coming weeks and days!
