The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is headed to the auctions too, with proceeds going to Charity. You may remember that the first Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe was auctioned for charity at the Barrett Jackson, and it happened that Rick Hendrick bought the supercar for $1.1 million.
The auction will take place at the South Florida Fairgrounds in Palm Beach during the 10th annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, on April 5. Bidders are allowed to place their bids in person or online, the proceeds will go to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
The Corvette Stingray Convertible debuted at the Geneva Motor Show 2013 a few months after its coupe counterpart. It features the same new generation LT1 GM V8 engine as the Coupe producing around 450hp. It is able to launch to 100km/h in under four second.
