In a tale all too similar to that of Jessica Barton who had her Toyota Supra stolen and scrapped for parts, a German owner of an equally unique Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 recently experienced the same frustration when his car which was stolen on the 30th of January, turned up in the heart of snow-covered Germany with little more than its shell.
Asides from the shell, some of the interior remains, including Porsche’ sports-oriented steering wheel, very little of the car remains with even its fuel tank being removed. It’s anyone’s guess as to why someone would go to so much effort stripping the car down when it could have easily been sold and the person responsible for the theft could have come out quite a rich individual.
Nevertheless, it’s very unlikely that this GT3 RS 4.0 will ever live again, as the owner would be much more likely to simple replace it with a brand new car rather than trying to salvage it for its remaining few parts.
Ideal if you unfortunately write of your GT3 RS 4.0 and need a new shell. What a waste!
does anyone know more about this? whereabouts etc?
you after the wheel?
no doubt it's been gutted to retrofit into a cooking spec model.
