MEC Design unveiled a new tuning project today based on what we’re told is a Mercedes-Benz S550. Of course, the S550 is only available to US customers, although the modifications can probably be performed on European spec cars too.

The changes made to this car include a set of MEC Design MecxtremeI three-piece wheels with an outer lip in black gloss finish and the wheel center in black silk finish. They measure 10×21 inches with a 3.5 inch outer lip, and 11×21 inches with a 4.5 inch outer lip. At the front axle the rubber measures 255/30ZR21 with a 12mm spacer and at the rear axle tyres measure 295/25ZR21.

MEC Design also fitted their Electronic Lowering System (ELS) which lowers the car by up to 60mm. It gets an MEC Design 4-Pipe Stainless Steel Exhaust System. Inside, MEC Design fitted Piano Black finished interior parts to the steering wheel, dash inlays and the center console. There’s also a new MEC Design sports steering wheel, floor mats with special edging and an MEC Design grill covering finished in a colour that matches the body.
