Video Driving Mille Miglia 2011 in Jaguar XKR-S

The Mille Miglia 2012 is now taking place covering a 1,000 miles route through Italy. The race started yesterday in Brescia in the North of Italy and headed in a clockwise direction round Italy via Rome and finishes back in Brescia two days later. The route crossed six regions: Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Umbria and Lazio on the way down, adding Tuscany on the way back.

Last year’s Mille Miglia featured editor Henry Catchpole following the large group of sports and luxury cars in a new white Jaguar XKR-S. The British sports car has an uprated supercharged AJ-V8 Gen III R direct-injection engine producing 550hp together with 680Nm of torque. The power enables a sprint from standstill to 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds. Additional modifications to the XKR-S include a new sports exhaust, sharper suspension settings and optimized ESP program to allow for a bigger tolerance.
