Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG Wrapped in Army Green Satin by Dartz

Dartz, the French wrapping specialist, is busy at the moment. After finishing with the Mansory Aston Martin we featured last week, they moved on to the Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG. For the timeless G-Class they fitted a Green Satin wrap from their Outlaw range.

The Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG recently went out of production to be replaced by the G63 AMG annouced last month! The 2013 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG gets the AMG-fettled 5.5 liter V8 biturbo engine delivering 544hp and torque of 560lb-ft. These are 44hp and 44lb-ft gains over the G55. Engineers have coupled this with AMG’s Speedshift Plus, seven-speed automatic transmission. This means 0-100km/h in just 5.3 seconds and a 209km/h limited top speed.

Advantages of the new car over the old include a higher quality interior, increased fuel economy, a new set of options and state of the art suspension. The most obvious difference will of course be the G63 AMG’s brand new aerodynamic parts.

Army Green suits the Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG we think. It gives it a rugged look that fits perfectly with the car’s character. Stay tuned for more green news involving our GTspirit project car and Cannes-based Dartz!
