Geneva 2012: Alpina BMW B6 Bi-Turbo Coupe

Over at the Alpina stand, another regular at the Geneva Motor Show, the German tuners are displaying their latest modifications for the BMW 6-Series. It’s the first time we’ve seen the B6 Bi-Turbo Coupe at a European motorshow so we thought we’d bring you a set of pictures so that you can see what it looks like live! It was originally unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2011.

The Alpina BMW M6 Bi-Turbo Coupe improves upon the 2012 BMW 650i Coupe improving the all-aluminium V8 powerplant up to 540hp at a moderate 5,500rpm and 700Nm from 3,000rpm. Alpina have fitted two turbochargers configured in parallel, each feeding one of the two cylinder banks, with specially developed large diameter exhaust-turbines.

Besides the increase in power, the Alpina B6 BiTurbo Coupe received some aerodynamics enhancements such as a front spoiler with the integrated carbon fiber front splitter and a rear spoiler with an optional rear wing.
