Video of the Day: Spada Codatronca Monza

The Spada Vetture Sport Codatronca Monza was officially unveiled at Top Marques Monaco a couple of months ago. This one-off roadster blends Italian styling with raw American power and is one of the most exclusive cars in the world.

The car has a tubular chassis made of aluminium that was coated with a light carbon fiber and composite materials body. Thanks to this, the dry weight of the Codatronca is just 1,180kg. The twin-supercharged 7.0 liter V8 of Spada Monza is based on the Corvette Z06’s LS7 engine and tweaked by Italtecnica. The output is 720 horsepower and 920Nm of torque.

The low weight combined with its enormous power results in an acceleration from naught to 100km/h in less than three seconds, and the top speed is 335km/h.

Our friend an Youtube member Marchettino made a video of this remarkable and unique car driving at the circuit where it derived its name from, the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza also known as The Temple of Speed.
