Local German Teamspeed spies spotted the new Audi RS1 at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. As you can see from its aggressive styling this is no ordinary little Audi. This high-performance hatchback from Audi’s quattro division is planned to be revealed officially in the beginning of next year.
Expect the power to be from Audi’s turbocharged 2.5 TFSI engine delivering at least 250 to 300 horsepower. This is the same powerplant as found in the TT-RS and RS3, just tuned down to fit this car accordingly. The setup also includes four-wheel-drive like both family members.
The most powerful A1 is the main competitor to MTM’s A1 with 500hp. The Germans have already declared that they will bring a four-wheel drive version of their A1 as soon as the RS1 is revealed.

Nice litlle machine. I want.
That’s just plain wrong.
Audi won’t use the 5cv from the RS-series, but a 4cv from the Golf R (EA113).
