IAA 2011 BMW F10M M5 Interior and Twin-Turbo V8 Engine

Following our first look at the 2012 BMW F10M M5, we can now show you the interior and engine compartment of the new M Power 5 Series. The power saloon is displayed at the IAA 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and one of the highlights at the stand of BMW.

The new BMW M5 is the fifth generation and is powered by a high-revving 4.4 liter V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo package. The total output is 560hp at 6,000 – 7,000rpm and a maximum torque of 680Nm from 1,500rpm. The power is converted to the road via the rear wheels and a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic with traction-optimised automatic gear selection and launch control.

On the inside, two individually configured set-ups for the car can be called up using the new M Drive buttons on the steering wheel. Furthermore, you will have sports seats, a M leather steering wheel, and an M-specific instrument cluster and leather-covered center console on the inside.

Standard specification also includes: Merino leather upholstery with extended features, exclusive Aluminum Trace interior trim strips, BMW Individual roof liner in Anthracite, electrically operated steering column adjustment, four-zone automatic climate control and ambient light.
