German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz released a new promotional video for the brand new 2012 SLS AMG Roadster. The two and a half minute long clip was shot in various locations across South America.
The roadster features a three-ply soft top that can be raised or lowered in just eleven seconds at a maximum speed of 50km/h. Despite the roof being fully automatic with a glass rear window, it doesn’t steal any trunk space and the extra weight is still held to the minimum, with just 40kg.
The power is coming from a 6.3 liter V8 engine that produces 563bhp together with 650Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which enables the car to accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 317km/h.
