Anybody who is expecting his or her Audi R8 Spyder to arrive soon, can see in the video below how the roofless sports cars is produced. Audi unveiled a short video with the R8 V10 Spyder on the production line. Factory employees install both doors, the hood and combine the engine with the chassis.
The Audi R8 V10 Spyder is the first roofless R8 to be available worldwide. The latest R8 road car is based on the 525hp, 5.2-litre FSI model, but features a bespoke body incorporating additional weight-saving carbon fibre composite panels as well as the all-important fully automatic lightweight fabric hood. Good for a 4.1 second 0-62mph sprint and a top speed of 197mph.
