Porsche and the Nürburgring are bound to each other. The latest chapter in their long lasting ‘relationship’ is the 2010 Porsche 997 GT3 RS lapping the Nordschleife. A Porsche test driver clocked a time of 7m33s, seven seconds faster then its older brother and six seconds faster than the new Turbo.
The fastest lap was done in some light traffic. Data reveiled a theoretical ‘best lap’ of 7m30s would have been possible. In comparison, the Nissan GT-R did it in 7m27.56, the Gumper Apollo in 7m11.57s and the Radical SR8LM in 6m48s. Overall a decent time by the guys from Stuttgart.

But I have to say that the new GT3RS looks awesome!
