The new four-door Bugatti Galibier 16C – the world’s fastest sedan – is approved for production and its sales price is known. However, that is what rumours suggest! The sale will start somewhere around 2013 at a colossal price tag of about € 984,900 or $ 1.4 million.
The Bugatti was not shown on the IAA 2009, but still we do know some features of the new saloon. The engine wil be the same 16 cylinder 8.0-litre powerplant used in the Veyron. The output will be lower. Top speed is expected to reach 220mph. 22-inch wheels, carbon ceramic brakes and four-wheel drive all keep this luxury saloon on the tarmac.
The interior has a leather and wood interior. Detailing is kept to a minimum inside, with only two central dials forming the instrument binnacle. The dashboard has a timepiece by Swiss watch maker Parmigiani which can be taken out and worn, plus a small TV screen on the transmission tunnel.

“Due to the fitting of two turbochargers, not 4, the power will be reduced to a mere 800HP. Still sufficient to reach a top speed of 350 km/h.”
