Mercedes-Benz AMG Future Plans

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé

Via our colleagues at WorldCarFans we can give you some inside in the future plans of AMG. We told you before that the AMG devision will no longer focus on raising the amount of horsepower and that seems to be confirmed now. AMG’s newest project will be a Black Series for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé which will have performance gains by decreasing the weight and performing changes to the engine management.

The standard AMG E-Class Coupé and a C-Class saloon Black Series won’t come, since AMG restricts the limited Black Series to two-door vehicles only. The C63 AMG however is an exception, because it only has 457bhp at the moment. The AMG engineers will boost that engine to somewhere between 500 and 525bhp. We can’t wait for more…!
