One of the most iconic and popular variants of the Ford Mustang has to be the Mach 1 Mustang. First built in 1969 and 1970, the name made a comeback in 2003 on the series four Mustang when Ford used it to prolong dwindling sales of the aging muscle car. Here we have pictures of what Edmundo Cano (Auto Pan) believes a series five Mustang Mach 1 could look like.

The speculation was raised by the expected introduction of Ford’s latest 5.0 litre 400bhp Coyote V8 engine. It’s nothing more tha pure speculation and the odds are that the car will never be produced, but it’s good to dream about what could be. The new air scoops and two tone paintwork look mean on this specific car.

  1. I love the look even it is just a rendering. Ford has the best looking muscle car out there right now. Bringing back the Mach1, if it looks this good, would put another nail in the coffin of the muscle cars on the market right now. I love the look of the hood. Its great.
