To celebrate the constructors title Ferrari won in the F1 World Championship this year it released the Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16M. The limited edition topless version of the 430 Scuderia will have only 499 cars build.

The Scuderia Spider 16M, named after the 16th F1 constructors title for Ferrari, will have the same 510 hp 4.3L V8 and the 6-speed F1 paddle shift gearbox. The Scuderia Spider 16M is a good 85 kilo’s lighter than the F430 Spider and it accounts for impressive performance figures 0-100 kmh sprint in 3.7 seconds and a topspeed well above 300 km/h and just under the magic 200mph mark. According to Ferrari it’s the fastest open sportscar they ever build.

  1. Nice the frontpage is doing its duty!!!

A Scuderia Spyder is totally nonsense. The purpose of a Scud is to attend trackdays successsfully and the enineers made this capable by reducing much of the weight of the normal F430. But cuttin the top of means they make the car heavier again… It’s like the California: a stuid idea to make more money.

  2. Des, nice to see your site back up!

As for the Scudy Spidy, I completely agree it’s nonsense and a rediculous take to sell 499 more scuds. What kind of poser is going to actually buy a 430 Scuderia spider? Probably the same one who couldn’t get his hands on the coupe.
