Several car brands refreshed their logo through the years, think about Mercedes, they changed it about 10 times. For the guys from Ford it was about time to give their Mustang horse a new look. The refreshed Mustang doesn’t make more difference from the current one. Only when you own one of both you will probably clearly see the difference. The new logo will be on the Mustangs from novermber 19th.
Chief designer of Mustang, Douglas Gaffka, said:
We wanted to give the Mustang pony a more realistic feel. We lifted the head to make the pony more proud, tipped the neck into the wind to give it a feeling of greater speed and better balance. It’s more chiselled and more defined and looks more like a wild horse. It’s more realistic in terms of proportion to an actual Mustang.
