The Mercedes-Benz SLK facelift is only released on our roads for a few months, and yet Brabus has created a customization program for the roadster. The package includes consists of aerodynamic enhancements, custom alloy wheels, suspension and offcourse a power upgrade. The top of the range, SLK 55 AMG, is powered by Brabus’ 6.1 liter engine and produces 445 bhp (which is 85 bhp more than the standard SLK AMG), with a peak of torque at 635 Nm. the engine is hooked up to a seven-speed automatic gearbox and Brabus’ self developed limited-slip differential. The sprint from 0 – 62 mph (100 kmh) should take 4.3 seconds while the topspeed is claimed to be 190 mph (305 kmh).

The new aerodynamic parts have all been developed in the wind tunnel. The front spoiler reduces lift when driving high speeds the side rocker panels improve the airflow between the front and rear wheels. The rear receives a Brabus apron with boot spoiler and room for the four chrome tailpipes which betrays the presence of a Brabus stainless-steel sport exhaust system.

The German tuning house also offers suspension modifications like sport springs which lower the car by 30 mm. The center of gravity is therefor lowered and reduces body roll in fast corners, excellent in combination with sporty wide tires. Brabus offers several alloy wheels in sizes 17, 18 or 19 inch.
