Italian Police Stops Plan to Kidnap Enzo Ferrari’s Body

The plans of the criminal movement that planned to kidnap Enzo Ferrari’s body were in the final stages: all it took was a van that would take the criminals to the San Cataldo cemetery in Modena, break into the family grave, take the coffin and demand a ransom.

Fortunately the Italian police have been very alert and discovered the despicable plans just in time and apprehended no less than 34 people before they even got the chance to carry out their plans. The kidnapping plot was discovered during an investigation into weapon- and drugs-trade on the Italian island Sardinia.

Enzo Ferrari is the founder of the famous car brand Ferrari and the raceteam Ferrari. He passed away in 1988 aged 90 and was buried not far from the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy.
