Ford has revealed the Mustang which will play the center role in the 2014 Need for Speed movie. The movie is currently under production by Dreamworks Animation and Electronic Arts who are behind the actual game.
This comes after the recent Fast and Furious 6 movie screening last month. The movie was a success and this might be the new method to attract movie goers-use fast cars! Sadly, for many car enthusiasts, the Fast and Furious 6 was much of an action-fight film rather than car-action.
Electronic Arts alongside Dreamworks Animation also revealed a new video showing that actual production had begun. From the scenes we see cars such as the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, Koenigsegg Agera, McLaren P1 and even the key player-900bhp Ford Mustang.
The Sesto Elemento is seen to take out the McLaren P1 at one point as the Mustang shines on its own victory lane. Now, as to whether they use replica cars or real cars in the films, we only hope for some real car action with minimal off the plot scenes. Ford created this special Mustang for this movie comes with a wide body kit, custom bumper and 22 inch wheels. The movie is scheduled to premiere on March 14, 2014.
Sadly all the above cars are obvious fakes. Probably for the best as there seems to be a lot of vehicular carnage!
