A quiet walk around the Duke of Richmond’s estate, told through the lens. There are motoring events, and then there is Goodwood. Every summer, the Festival of Speed turns the Duke of Richmond’s Sussex estate into what remains, in our opinion at least, the most eclectic celebration of the automobile anywhere on the planet. GTspirit returned to West Sussex once again in 2026, and this gallery is our attempt to bottle a little of what makes the weekend such a fixture on the calendar.
The Festival’s beauty has always been in its range, from vintage racing machinery to the very latest hybrid hypercars, all sharing the same paddock and the same run up the Hill. In keeping with GTspirit’s own editorial DNA, however, our lens naturally gravitated towards the modern end of the spectrum this year, with a particular focus on the supercar and luxury paddocks.
We did allow ourselves one small, deliberate detour through the Group B rally section, because how could we resist. The rest of the time, it was hypercars, current-generation flagships and the sort of contemporary machinery that has always been at the heart of what we do. Take your time with the pictures, and if a particular car or moment catches your eye, chances are we lingered a while longer with it too.
