Bentley Recalls Over 27,000 Continental and Flying Spur Models

Bentley has just announced that it is recalling 27,460 of its models worldwide due to a loose battery cable connection.

The issue affects all Continental GT, GTC and Bentley Flying Spur models produced between February 2011 and June 2014. Of the 27,460 being recalled, 7778 of them reside in the United States.

In a press release, Bentley said that a “bolted connection for a battery cable joint could be loose where it passes through the front bulkhead”. To resolve the issue, Bentley will replace the affected components with a new connecting system with repairs taking approximately 2 hours for each car.

Importantly, the recall is only voluntary with the British marque set to soon start contacting owners and encouraging to have their cars repaired at a local dealership.
