Bugatti has just unveiled a video describing how it designed and created its Vision Gran Turismo unveiled at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015. While over a dozen automakers have made virtual race cars for the Gran Turismo 6 racing simulator, Bugatti is one of just a few marques to actually bring its creation into the real world by building a one-off.
Additionally, the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is particularly important as it previews the company’s latest hypercar, known as the Chiron. Consequently, it features a number of key Bugatti design elements like the horseshoe grille, the headlights, the Bugatti side signature line, the centre line as well as the full-width horizontal tail line at the rear.
Discussing the car, Achim Ansheidt said “The Bugatti design team normally works only for the exclusive and very distinguished circle of the brand’s customers. Now Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo has given us the opportunity, for the first time, to do something special for our fans as well. When the target group suddenly grows from 450 Veyron owners to several million fans, gamers and high performance aficionados, it is a very exciting matter. We had a lot of fun with this project.”
