Mauritius-based hospitality firm, LUX* Resorts and Hotels will open its first property in the Middle East in late 2016. Situated on the coastline of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates, the resort will be just 40 minutes away from the Dubai International Airport. There will be 191 rooms, suites and private villa and renowned architect Jean-Michael Gathy has designed the resort, combining “modern Arabian grandeur and signature LUX* simplicity”.

Al Zorah is a bio-diverse coastal oasis and shelters around 60 different bird species, including the pale pink flamingo. The resort will be surrounded by 12 km of sandy beach, offering a plethora of options for outdoor activities. One can go for diving, boating, kite surfing, fly boarding or even try out the Jack Niklaus signature 18-hole golf course.

LUX* Al Zorah will be one of the four new properties to be opened by the company by 2017 in the Indian Ocean, China and Middle East. Regarding these development, Paul Jones, CEO of LUX* Resorts & Hotels said “Once again, we are experiencing exciting times at LUX* Resorts & Hotels. With four new properties scheduled for opening by 2017, and the remaking of LUX* South Ari Atoll, Maldives, the group is progressing well towards our international development ambitions.”
