The original models of the BMW M3 and two BMW S1000RR bikes that featured in Mission Impossible- Rogue Nation were put on display at BMW Weltz in Munich, Germany. They may return again to be added to the company’s heritage collection.

Several BMW M3s were damaged in the shooting of the film but one survived, which can be seen in the gallery below. Having been used in ferocious stunts, it has lots of bullet hits and some bruises here and there. It has Silverstone Metallic exterior paint and the interior has stronger seat belts and lots of wires, some modifications made for the movie. Meanwhile, the two bikes get black body paint. It’s worth noting, also in the film there were two more models from BMW: the 340i and the X5.

Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation was launched last month and is directed by Christopher McQuarrie. It is the fifth installment of the Mission Impossible series and like the previous films, has Tom Cruise in the lead role. Also seen in the movie are Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris and Jeremy Renner. The filming began in August 2014 in Vienna, Austria and concluded in March 2015. Since its launch, it has garnered more than $650 million on the box office.

The BMW F80 M3 features a 3.0-litre inline-six engine, capable of producing 431 hp and 550 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a six-speed manual and a seven-speed M-DCT transmission, which transfers the power to the rear wheels of the car.
