The Salt & Water design studio, has just unveiled its unique concept for a plethora of floating hotels which could be constructed around the world.
The concept walked away with the Millenium Yacht Design Award and combines a large floating building housing the reception and dining facilities as well as offices for staff. Guests would then stay in the individual catamaran units which can be moved and separated from the main dock thanks to small motors.
Each unit includes sleeping and living areas as well as a small wooden deck perfect for sun bathing.
It remains to be seen if any hotel chains will adopt the concept and bring it to life but if they did, we’d definitely check it out!
