On paper, the V8-powered Audi R8 as well as the Nissan GT-R are quite evenly matched. The Audi R8 delivers a total of 420 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque while GT-R’s produced from 2007-2010 pump out 485 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque. While the GT-R clearly has the power and torque advantage, the R8 has the advantage in that it is mid-engined and weighs less.
Beyond the specifications, both cars have been on the market for a similar amount of time and successors/next-generations models are currently being developed. While the two are quite common as far as supercars go and spotted frequently, FJ.Lim Photography recently managed to gather the two together for a very special photoshoot.
This particular Nissan GT-R is noteworthy for the fact that it is bright blue with a number of carbon fibre accents and gloss black wheels. By comparison, the R8 has a unique creamy grey colour with black wheels and bright yellow brake calipers.
