There are very few cars released in recent times which have created as much enthusiasm as the brand new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and it is hardly surprising why. As the most powerful production muscle car ever offered, it certainly deserves all the attention it has been receiving.

Dodge has already made the most of its popularity by installing its 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine into the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and if it wanted to, could offer more variants of the Challenger and Charger using the same engine. Automotive renderer Theophilus Chin has decided to render what a possible Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Shooting Brake could look like and thanks to its unique shape and orange paint job, certainly gets your attention!

Under the hood, the 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine pumps out a truly spectacular 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque! To help limit power of the new SRT Hellcat in not-ideal situations, it comes standard with a black key fob which limits power to 500 hp while the red key fob unlocks the full potential of 707 screaming horsepower! This power comes courtesy of a 6.2-litre HEMI V8 supercharged engine which we now know is the most powerful engine the Chrysler Group has ever produced. According to first reviews of the car, the engine is just as exceptional as it sounds!

Design changes include a new front fascia and all-new vertical-split grille. It gets a larger, power-bulge aluminium hood with a dedicated “cold-air” intake much like the original Viper coupe. The hood comes standard in body colour and is available in a Satin Black finish. The quad projector headlamps are new too as is the larger front splitter and supercharger fender badges and notably, one of the headlights also serves as an air intake. The rear gets a split tail-lamp design and new rear fascia. The diffuser is a new design, as is the taller rear spoiler.

  1. Just a tip, this Dodge Challenger is made by “Dodge” not “Chevrolet” as you wrote above. It makes me wonder if you actually wrote this article or just spun it?

  2. I didn’t see Chevrolet mentioned. What are you all talking about? Speaking of Chevrolet, I am and have always been a GM fanatic! BUT, I only have one word for you, HELLCAT!!! Wow! Love what Chevy did with the ZR1 and the ZL1, even Z28, but when you consider the GT 500 already had them beat and couldn’t answer back with more power, hello Hellcat! I really started taking a liking to Chrysler back in 2011. I must say, I’m truly converted! Way to go Mopar! Street Racing Technology!
