Audi have released the Audi RS4 Avant Nogaro Selection to celabrate 20 years of the RS brand! The RS family was bourn with the Audi RS2, the Audi RS4 special edition is now released as its spiritual successor! The car will receive its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2014 before being offered for sale in early 2014.
So,what’s different? The paint has been customised with Nogaro blue, a pearl effect paint finish reminiscent of the original Audi RS2. The frame and the Singleframe grille, as well as the window slot trims, are painted high-gloss black, and the roof rails matt black. The RS sport exhaust system gets two trademark oval, high-gloss black tailpipe trims.
Under the hood of the Audi RS 4 Avant Nogaro Selection is the naturally aspirated 4.2 litre V8 engine. Power is rated at 450 hp which peaks at 8,250 rpm, with peak torque of 430 Nm available between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 280 km/h.
The standard equipment of the Audi RS 4 Avant Nogaro selection includes the Audi drive select dynamic driving system. This system allows variation between three modes – comfort, auto and dynamic – for the characteristics of the electromechanical power steering, the seven-speed S tronic, the accelerator and the RS sport exhaust system. And if the car is equipped with Audi MMI navigation, there is also a fourth mode – individual – which can be configured by the driver. A sport differential is also available on this car.
Dynamic steering is also available which varies the steering ratio depending on the speed and countersteers with small impulses at curve limits. RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) equalizes the roll and pitch for the firmly sprung suspension by strictly mechanical means.
The Audi RS 4 Avant Nogaro selection rides on 265/30 series tires with 20-inch wheels in 5-V-spoke design. These hide gleam red-painted brake calipers bearing RS emblems.
