Salt-Fever Mercedes-Benz SL300 Gullwing by Petrolicious

Bob Sirna an owner of a unique Mercedes-Benz SL300 has salt-fever. Bob has transformed his 1954 supercar into a supercar beyond today’s conventional standards. As referenced in the video, this particular unit will keep up with most modern Corvettes, Porsches, and even Ferraris. For the past seven years, Bob has been upgrading his car to further his passion for racing at the salt flats in Bonneville.

The rarity is not so much in the number of units produced as there were approximately 1400 Mercedes-Benz Gullwing made, but rather the number of owners willing to drive these classic at all. Similar to most collectibles, many Gullwings are left sitting inside garages collecting dust.

Bob’s philosophy is “to wake up every morning saying you’re doing what you want to do…and enjoy your toys, don’t worry about breaking them, don’t worry about scratching them, just have fun with them”

We couldn’t of said it any better.
