The IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 is primarily about road-focused machines. Race cars are, for the mot part, born from rad cars though (even the single seaters feed their technologies down to the humble road car). With this in mind, we set about trying to discover what racing models were on display at the German motor show. As you’ll see from the gallery below, there is plenty to see!
We spotted cars as diverse as a classic Le Mans racing Porsche 917 and a modern McLaren 12C GT3 car. There is plenty of modern Formula 1 on display with a newly released Formula E prototype over at Renault and a mock up of the Delta Wing Coupé over at Nissan.
