US car brand Chevrolet has announced that the 2013 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is the new Pace Car for the 96th Indianapolis 500. The sports car will be leading the starting field this Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The 2013 Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful production car ever to pace the race.
The white Corvette ZR1 is dressed in a special Indy 500 livery and fitted with safety lights. The sports car comes with a 6.2 liter LS9 supercharged V8 pumping out 638hp providing a zero to 60mph sprint in just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205mph.
