Rumours are circulating once more about the possibilities of a performance variant of Audi’s Q5 after Car and Driver report that Audi have registered the names ‘SQ5’ and ‘RSQ5’. The move seems unlikely considering the public rebuttal Audi offered when the rumours first arose.
Audi hasn’t expanded either the ‘S’ or ‘RS’ moniker to its SUV models before. If it did it would follow in the footsteps of AMG and BMW’s M-Division.
