TechArt has presented a new suite for the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S shown at the IAA 2009 carshow. The new performance kit, now available, includes a valve-controlled exhaust system as well as new engine electronics producing a boost in power output, by up to 35hp.
The performance kit is available for the Porsche 911 Carrera S as well as the 4S four-wheel drive version. The exhaust system includes two stainless steel racing headers as well as a sports catalytic converter, rear muffler with exhaust valve, an exhaust valve control unit and twin oval tailpipes in high-gloss or black chrome. The valve system lets you choose between a sporty sound or a powerful racing car sound. The kit delivers an increase in power output of 35hp – in the upper engine speed range. There is also a pure valve-controlled exhaust system, the “Sport” model, which does not offer any increase in power output but does deliver the same customized sound experience. This system contains a rear muffler with exhaust valve, exhaust valve control unit and twin oval tailpipes in high-gloss or black chrome.
Other parts such as the Aerokit 1, Vario Plus suspension, nose lift system, interior refinements and TechArt Formula and Formula II alloy wheels are still available. For the new 911 models, a light alloy forged wheel – the TechArt Formula III forged – is available in a twin-spoke design in a 19 and 20 inch format.
Very stylish kit IMO!
