Spyshots: 2011 Porsche 911 Cabriolet

2011 Porsche 911 Cabriolet

The complete Porsche 997 line-up has only been finished recently with the GT3 RS and yet the next-generation Porsche 911 (998) Cabriolet has been spotted testing. The images show a slightly longer body to increase rear seat space and head lights in 997-style which are raised to meet safety regulations.

To keep the current trend of LED technology alive we can expect the 998 series to have this installed in the rear-lights. We can also assume that the massive spoiler won’t reach production, it’s just there to hide the real shape of the new Porsche. The cabriolet will have a soft-top ensuring a low weight. Technologies like the seven-speed PDK transmission and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) are to be employed. All performance indicators will be improved with the next-generation, including top speed, fuel economy, C02 emissions and handling.
