Cannonball 8000

Cannonball 8000 is celebrating this year its 5th anniversary: London – Brussels – Prague – Zagreb

The 2007 Cannonball 8000 Rally promises to be the best Cannonball 8000 ever! Being the 5th Year Anniversary, they are making big plans to ensure that this year starts AND ends with a BANG!

Kicking off with a fabulous and glamorous pre-event party in a secret Central London location on the 13th September 2007. Early the following morning Earls Court will become the focus of attention for crowds of spectators and the media, as 120 cars, including some of the most exotic and rare Supercars in the world rev up their engines to prepare for the start line in what will be the most awesome, jaw dropping spectacle…. sleek cars, gorgeous girls, flashing cameras.

Around midday the flag will drop and the cars will wind their way through the sights of Central London creating a massive spectacle as they go on their way to Folkestone to join the Eurotunnel and begin the first segment of the trip in Europe. Arriving mid-evening on the 14th September to the achingly luxurious Conrad hotel in Brussels, where the ever supportive Belgium fans will no doubt turn out in their droves to greet the weary Cannonballers as they arrive. After a speedy check-in and time to freshen up, it will be time to drop in to the Cannonball 8000 champagne reception, with flowing drinks and inspired canapés, chance for all the entrants to chill out and chat about the events of that days drive before being seated for dinner in the hotel, a few words from Conrad Wall, Cannonball 8000 founder, then off to a top local nightspot to party the night away with the adoring local fans!

Early morning 15th September – a few sore heads I am sure! Cars set off after breakfast, bidding farewell to Brussels, the task ahead to find their way to Prague Castle for the finish line, before being led by Police Escort to their hotel. Cars are expected to arrive from late afternoon, and will be greeted by crowds of spectators and gorgeous smiling Corona girls offering beer! And all this before even checking into the hotel! The evening promises another champagne drinks reception, sumptuous dinner and thumping party in Duplex Nightclub, THE place to be seen in Prague (Mick Jagger chose it for his birthday party, so can’t be bad)!

Final day, waving a fond farewell to Prague, Cannonballers set off for Zagreb, stopping on route for lunch at the delightful Vienna Orangery, before arriving to their final destination, the truly astounding setting of the Regent Esplanade Hotel, Zagreb. Steeped in history, this luxurious venue will host the evening drinks, dinner and party, and with the Cannonball 8000 finale event being hosted by the City of Zagreb and the Mayor, you can expect a truly spectacular and unforgettable end to what will be the “best weekend of your life”.
