Chinese car dealer Zhongsheng Group Holdings Ltd has bought 70 percent of the shares of German prestige tuner Carlsson. A spokesperson of the Zhongsheng company said they had a very simple explanation for it:<\/p>\n

The problem is there are so many Mercedes, BMW and Audi cars in Shanghai and Beijing that those cars sometimes feel like mainstream cars, like driving a Camry in Los Angeles.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To give the partial acquisition a bit more shine Carlsson China also announced the Carlsson CGL45<\/a> Royal Edition especially designed for the China market. <\/p>\n

Next to the aerodynamics package with an engine upgrade and an improved interior luxury this special edition gets an unique color scheme. The 3.0 liter V6 diesel unit has been boosted from 268hp and 618Nm to 310hp and 698Nm, while the 5.5-liter petrol V8 was taken to 441hp and 598Nm.<\/p>\n
