With the current economic climate, record setting auction results are hardly the expected headlines, yet we have a second in the space of just a year! A Ferrari 250 GTO was sold at auction to an English buyer recently for a staggering \u20ac20 million (\u00a315.7 million) taking the crown from the California Spyder sold to Chris Evans at just over \u20ac7 million. The 250 GTO is one of the most desirable Ferraris with only 39 examples known to have been built, it’s rare that any of these come up for sale at auction therefore this sale attracted a lot of attention from Ferrrari enthusiasts. The car in question was a 1963 car (mid-way through it’s 1962-64 production run) and boasts a V12 and 302bhp. Were unsure where the auction was or by which company though at the moment.<\/p>\n
