Unsurprisingly, Ford has used the Los Angeles Auto Show 2015 as the latest outlet to display the latest-generation GT supercar. Initially unveiled at Detroit back in January, we’ve seen the 2016 Ford GT finished in a number of paint colours and at LA, there is a bright yellow example. Obviously, we had to snap some pictures of it.

While Ford has yet to release official specifications about the car, official specifications were revealed in Forza Motorsport 6. In the game, the 2016 Ford GT pumps out a total of 630 hp and 539 lb-ft of torque from its twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 engine. The American marque has previously confirmed that the new GT will deliver in excess of 600 hp and given the accuracy of Forza 6, there’s a very good chance that these figures are the real deal, although they are yet to be officially confirmed.

Underpinning the 2016 Ford GT is a carbon fibre monocoque with aluminium front and rear subframes also featuring. Carbon fibre has also been used for the new Ford GT’s body panels and while Ford has yet to reveal how much the car weighs, it is claimed to have “one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car”.
