The upcoming new Audi TT RS has just been filmed in the midst of ferocious testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany. The following clip showcases the potent German sports car being tested to its limits by Audi engineers and displays its five-cylinder engine and exhaust notes.

Throughout the video, we can also see the car’s automatic rear wing in action on the circuit. The previous-generation TT RS utilised a fixed rear wing while lesser TT variants have smaller and more discrete fold-away spoilers. While it remains to be seen what the new TT RS will receive when it is revealed in production guise, the rear wing will inevitably be larger than the standard car’s to generate additional downforce at the rear wheels.

From a powertrain perspective, the new TT RS is tipped to receive the same 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine as the latest RS3 Sportback. According to our sources, that engine could result in a total of 380 hp, putting the new Audi TT RS right in line with the new BMW M2 itself which delivers 365 hp.
