<\/a><\/p>\nWhile the outgoing Chevrolet Camaro has consistently outsold the fifth-generation Ford Mustang, with the sixth-gen Mustang now out, the Camaro needs an update more than ever. Well, in 2016, the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro is set to arrive soon and it will bring with it a host of new features and could be available with a small 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine.<\/p>\n
It is speculated that the entry-level Camaro could receive the same 272 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque four-cylinder turbo used by the Cadillac CTS and ATS. If it were to do so, it would make quite a lot of sense since the new Mustang can be ordered with a small 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, the new Chevrolet Camaro should be available with updated versions of the current 3.6-litre V6 and the range-topping 6.2-litre V8 engine which will hopefully remain naturally-aspirated in some variations. <\/p>\n
Alongside the possibility of borrowing the 2.0-litre engine from the Cadillac CTS and ATS, the new Camaro will likely utilise their Alpha architecture as well and ditch the current Zeta platform.<\/p>\n
As for the design, previous reports have suggested that the styling of the next-gen Camaro will be updated but not to a revolutionary level. Instead, it will look like a \u201cworked-over current-model Camaro\u201d.
