Yesterday we broke news on this insane one-off Rolls-Royce Ghost Elegance stealing the show at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 display area of the British luxury brand. In real life the diamond lacquer looks even more stunning.

Commissioned by a wealthy individual car collector, no less than a 1,000 crushed diamonds form the base of this multilayer paint job. Officially named ‘Diamond Stardust’, it is the most expensive paint job to be ever featured on a Rolls-Royce.

It took the Rolls-Royce team of bespoke paint specialists two months to create, apply and finetune the exquisite layer of lacquer. The lengthy process finally resulted in a a sort of diamond powder which was finally mixed with the paint of choice.

What’s most important is that the diamond paint job doesn’t look as flashy and extravagant as you would expect in reality. By all means it hasn’t been overdone and it forms a nice complement to one of the most luxurious coaches available on the market today. The hand-painted stripes on the exterior come out nicely to, as are the bespoke 21-inch wheels.
