New spy shots of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe have been released!
The 2018 version of the E-Class Coupe will be based on Mercedes’ MRA rear-wheel drive modular platform which helps increase interior room and trunk room. While the trunk will still be extremely compact on the cabriolet model, the standard hard top version will benefit from the increased trunk space.
The MRA chassis architecture also means that the E-Class Coupe will not have B-pillars. This will give the E-Class a style reminiscent of that of the CL-Class of vehicles.
In terms of engine options, expect the Coupe to be offered with a selection of inline six-cylinders and four-cylinder turbos. Both gasoline and diesel options will be made available. Also on offer is an AMG model that is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine developing around 600 hp.
Hybrid options will also be made available in certain markets.
Interior-wise, expect the same basic layout as the E-Class Sedan. This means the Coupe will also feature all the new gadgetry that Mercedes recently announced. Expect the 2018 E-Class Coupe to be released at the beginning of 2017.
